About Us

Beaumont Library District is an Early Learning Family Place Library. As an Early Learning Family Place Library, we are a place for early childhood information, parent/caregiver education, emergent literacy, socialization, and family support. We also offer programs and services to school-aged children, educators, area schools, and clubs/organizations for children.

1000 Books Before Kindergarten

Early literacy is the cornerstone of academic success later in life. The Beaumont Library District is happy to support parents looking to encourage a lifelong love of books in their children through the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program.

For more information about this program and how to sign-up, please click here.

Children's Library Cards

Library cards are free to California residents. For children to receive their first library card, they must be aged five (5) or older. Additionally, children under twelve (12) must have a parent/legal guardian present when registering for their card. A parent/legal guardian must have a valid library card first for their child to receive one.

For additional information please visit the  "Get a Library Card" webpage.

Children's Programs

Programs are available for all children ages zero through twelve, as well as their siblings. Children up to age five (5) must be accompanied by an adult. A library card is not required to attend programs. Scheduled programs can be found at mybld.org/calendar.

If you would like to arrange a program for your class, grade level, or club/organization, please call the library at 951-845-1357 to discuss with a librarian.
