Information provided on the online borrower registration form will be held for four months before being deleted.
A permanent library card will be given after showing valid photo ID and proof of California residency.
Policy on District Resident Eligibility
Any California resident may register for a library card at the Library. The card allows borrowing of the library's materials as well as access to online resources through the Library District's website.
To obtain a library card, patrons must present any of the following to verify California resident status:
- A valid physical California Driver's license, digital California Driver's license from CA DMV Wallet app, California Dept. of Motor Vehicles Identification Card, or current California Automobile listing a legal California address.
- Any combination of valid photo ID and proof of residency, including utility bills.
Policy on Non-Resident Eligibility
Any resident outside of the State of California but staying temporarily in the local area may purchase a "non-resident" library card for a non-refundable fee of $25.00. The "non-resident" card will be valid for one (1) year from the date of purchase and may be renewed by paying an additional "non-resident" fee as long as the card holder remains in good standing with the Library District.
Policy on Library Cards
To obtain a library card, eligible individuals must provide the following information:
A valid government-issed photo ID showing the anme, current mailing address, and date of birth. A physical address must be provided if the mailing address is a P.O. Box. Additional contact information including a phone number and/or an email address, should be provided as well.
Minors age 12 through 17 may obtain a teen library card by presenting a current school ID card or government -issued photo ID. Address verification may be required.
Minors age 5 and up may obtain a juvenile library card when accompanied by one parent. The accompanying parent must present a valid library card ln good standing. The adult will take full financial responsibility for all materials borrowed on the minor(s) accounts.
Library cards will be valid for five (5) years from the date of issue. The card may be renewed at five (5) year intervals, provided the card holder maintains California residency. Lost card may be replaced for a replacement fee.
