The library's open hours are:

Information provided on the online borrower registration form will be held for four months before being deleted.

Valid photo ID and proof of California residency will be required before receiving a library card.

Books and audio books are due back to the library after two (2) weeks. Magazines are due back after (1) week.

Items can be renewed up to two (2) times for another two weeks each.

Some items (such as DVDs and Magazines) cannot be renewed. Items on hold for another patron also cannot be renewed.

You can check out up to fifty (50) items at a time, though we ask that you be aware to only check out as many items as you can be comfortably responsible for. Some collections may have smaller limits based on demand for those items. (For example, DVDs are limited to five [5] items for each of Children's, Fiction, and Nonfiction films).

The Beaumont Library District is proud to impose no late fees for overdue items returned to the library. Damage to returned items or failure to return items entirely, however, may result in fines assessed on a per-item basis.

Although a library card number is required to check items out of the library, reference staff are able to look up your card number and provide it to you if needed. For privacy reasons, this requires an up-to-date photo ID be provided prior to the search.

To use a computer without a library card, service desk staff may provide a "Guest Pass" for a temporary, one-day session on the library's computers.

If your library card has been lost entirely, replacement cards are available for a small fee.

To obtain a Library card, eligible individuals must provide:

• A valid government-issued photo ID showing the name, current mailing address, and date of birth. A physical address must be provided if the mailing address is a P.O. Box. Additional contact information including a phone number and/or an email address, should be provided as well.

Minors age 12 through 17 may obtain a teen library card by presenting a current school ID card or government-issued photo ID. Address verification may be required.

Minors age 5 and up may obtain a juvenile library card when accompanied by one parent. The accompanying parent must present a valid library card in good standing. The adult will take full financial responsibility for all materials borrowed on the minor(s) accounts.

Library cards will be valid for five (5) years from the date of issue. The card may be renewed at five (5) year intervals, provided the holder maintains California residency. Lost cards may be replaced for a small fee.

Your library card number is the 14-digit number under the bar code on the back of your library card. When entering it online, do not include the spaces.

By default, your PIN is the last 4 digits of your library card number, including the very last digit. As an example, a card number of 1 2222 3333 4444 5 would use the PIN 4445.

Yes. Copies can be made at the library at the following costs: 

• $.10 per B&W Copy
• $.25 per Color Copy

Unfortunately, the library does not offer public fax services.

Send an email to 3D.printer@bld.lib.ca.us with your library card number in the subject line and one (1) STL file attached. Please include a small description of your object in the body of the email, such as the rough size of the object and special instructions for printing if applicable, so that the librarian can confirm the attached object is correct.

Please also note that the library will print an object exactly as it is sent and will not make any adjustments prior to printing, nor will the library do any post processing, such as smoothing edges or removing support structures. If necessary, a full copy of the Beaumont Library’s 3D Printing policy is available on request.

Update: As of 9/20/2026, the library's 3D printer is undergoing repair. This section will be updated when 3D Printing is once again available.

Library computers can be used by all patrons five (5) years of age and older. Please note that public computer areas are separated by age, and that there are dedicated computer spaces for children and adults both.

Computer guest passes to use the library public use computers are available for those who are five (5) years old and older.

Please refer to the Library Direct 2U webpage regarding home delivery service for individuals who are unable to visit the library and have no way to pick up their materials from the library.
